Bonus Points Opportunity!

Do you ever want to correct everyone else's grammar? Especially professional adults that should really know better? I'm going to give you bonus points this quarter for being the Grammar Police!

1. Take a picture of a real-world grammar mistake. It may be on a sign, in the news, on a flyer, in the newspaper.... whatever... It just needs to be a real published thing, not a note from your girlfriend or your friend's text message!
2. Post the picture on Instagram with the hashtag #cafeharmongrammarpolice.
3. Comment on what's wrong.
4. No Instagram? No problem! Just snap the picture and bring it in to me.
5. I'll give you 10 points for each one you find, with a limit of 3 per quarter!

Stop at end to share books we loved. We go to the library tomorrow to discuss independent reading. 2nd Period will read book of choice with weekly journal "pinning" and an overall journal grade + thINK blog post. Pre AP will read in book clubs (3-5) for a book on the AP list- weekly journal "pinning," 3 recorded book club meetings with focus questions, overall journal grade + blog post.
